Occasionally users may find that QuickBooks is unable to print from their remote QuickBooks application or the page prints with random characters. Typically this is caused by a corruption in the QuickBooks print processing file.
The first thing to do is to ensure you are using the MyQuickCloud printer when printing in your MyQuickCloud session. Take a look at our How to print with myquickcloud article here.
If you are using the MyQuickCloud printer but you are still not able to print, it could be that the print settings file in QuickBooks is corrupt. You can fix this issue, follow these steps:
- Close your QuickBooks session
- Open Windows Explorer on the host machine and navigate to the following path:
- For Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista and Server 2016 onwards: C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Your QuickBooks Version\
- For Server 2008 and Server 2012: C:\Users\Your Username\AppData\Roaming\Intuit\ Your QuickBooks Version\TSPrinterSettings
- Rename the file titled QBPRINT.QBP to QBPRINT.OLD
- Open QuickBooks again
This will recreate the print processing file and you now should be able to print correctly.
